Finish Him!

Well see here! It seems that I have finished a project! : D See I told you I would. Pictures to be added in the morning, you know when light happens. I made two sets of finger-less glove things. I was following a Lionbrand pattern :
(apparently you have to "register" to see the nice pattern.....let me help you out there, size  nine or ten needles, Vanna's Choice yarn, two colors,
cast on 24 stitches
row 1: color 1 knit
row 2: color 1 knit
Row 3: color 2* knit
Row 4: color 2 knit
repeat until long enough to effectively warm your hand and wrist.
cast off
*helpful video for changing colors(pulled from the vault of my YouTube schenaniganry) if you want fat stripes, go here for advice...remember it needs to be an even number!

I got this from their (usually pointless....its funny cause knitting needles) e-letter....news-mail...there really should be a better way to say e-mail news letter.....I'll ponder that some more. As a side note, I keep waiting for their little knitting based web comic to be funny....and it always lets me down as shamelessly bad product placement. Anywho, the first round of these (pictures below) turned out kindah lumpy around the seam because I forgot that the internet knows everything, and decided to show a spark of intelligence, and make up my own way to carry colors along. (this involves knitting the two yarns together on the edges...yah) it ended in a nasty bit of bulkiness. But I wised up, spent an hour watching knitting how-to videos on YouTube and  fixed it in the second pair I promptly made for my jealous older sister Emily. Upon reading that last sentence over, I am suddenly struck by the sad realization of what my life has come to at this point.

Moving on. I have decided to start another related project. I may or may not have mentioned to my 4 year old nephew that my finger-less gloves made him have superpowers like iron man....hehe. Anywho I have engineered an adorably AWESOME pattern (which is a surprise)...which I am currently using the extra knowledge that I incurred while  whiling away the hours learning about playing with different colored yarn in knitting on YouTube (see the internet is useful, and not a sad cry for help...I really hope no one looks through my browser history...I'm not sure I could live down the knitting videos and crafting blog to no one). I had one almost finished....when I realized that, it was much to small. Time to restart! however, I practiced my yarn-play. I'm not too bad at this nonsense! Victory. Anyway, I'm now sitting here in my bed at an unreasonable hour, knitting and listening to a mix of bad pop, and indie-hipster music....something is so wrong with me. Peace yo, time to knit in time to the beat!
